Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Writable Site LLC, doing business as Walkable Software ("we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and shares your personal information when you use our websites and services, including EarlyRoad (earlyroad.com), OpenSkyRoad (openskyroad.com), StrongOakRoad (strongoakroad.com), and the commerce pages at wkbl.dev (collectively, the "Services").
We designed the Walkable platform around the idea that your data should stay with you and travel with you. This policy describes how we put that into practice and what rights you have over your information.

Payment information
When you subscribe to a paid plan, payment details (card numbers or other payment credentials) are collected and processed directly by our Merchant of Record, Paddle. We do not receive or store your full payment credentials. We do receive limited billing information from Paddle, such as your name, billing country, the last four digits of your card, and subscription status.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Services;
- Authenticate you and secure your account;
- Process payments and manage your subscription (via Paddle);
- Respond to your questions and provide customer support;
- Send service-related communications, including important notices about changes to the Services or these policies;
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and technical issues;
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms and Conditions.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your content to train third-party AI models.
4. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA and UK residents)
If you are in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, we process your personal data under the following legal bases:
- Performance of a contract — to provide the Services you have subscribed to;
- Legitimate interests — to secure our systems, prevent fraud, understand product usage, and improve the Services, where these interests are not overridden by your rights;
- Legal obligation — to comply with law, including tax and accounting requirements;
- Consent — where we rely on consent (for example, for certain non-essential cookies), you can withdraw it at any time.
5. How We Share Your Information
We share personal information only in the following circumstances:
-
Service providers. Vendors who help us operate the Services, including:
- Paddle (Paddle.com Market Ltd. and affiliates) — payment processing and Merchant of Record services;
- Cloudflare — website hosting, content delivery, and security;
- Email delivery providers and customer support tools.
- Other Walkable providers, at your direction. If you choose to migrate your account or share data with another Walkable account provider, we will transfer the relevant data as you instruct.
- Legal requirements. When required by law, subpoena, or other valid legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Walkable Software, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to standard confidentiality protections and continued application of this Policy.
6. Cookies
We use a small number of essential cookies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and secure your session. On our commerce pages, Paddle may set cookies as part of the checkout process. We do not currently use advertising cookies or third-party analytics that track you across other sites. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling essential cookies may affect the functionality of the Services.
7. Data Retention
We keep your personal information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period after closure to handle refunds, respond to support issues, comply with legal requirements, and maintain backup integrity. When retention is no longer necessary, we delete or anonymize the information.
You can request deletion of your account at any time (see Section 9). Paddle retains transaction records as required by financial regulation independently of our retention schedule.
8. International Data Transfers
We are based in the United States, and some of our service providers operate in other countries. When we transfer personal data across borders, we rely on recognized transfer mechanisms, including the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK equivalent, to protect your information.
9. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights:
- Access — ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- Rectification — correct inaccurate data;
- Erasure — ask us to delete your data;
- Portability — receive your data in a structured, commonly used format, or have it transferred to another service;
- Restriction or objection — limit or object to certain processing;
- Withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent;
- Lodge a complaint — with your local supervisory authority.
To exercise any of these rights, email support@wkbl.dev. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law. We may need to verify your identity before acting on your request.
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what personal information we collect and the right to request deletion. We do not sell personal information as defined under the CCPA.
10. Security
We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and regular security review. No system is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal data, we will notify you and applicable authorities as required by law.
11. Children
The Services are not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent version. Material changes will be communicated by email or by prominent notice on our website before they take effect.
